Agape, the delicate architecture of love.

Agape is a 3D animation created for a holographic installation exploring love, tenderness, and emotional reciprocity. Inspired by the Greek concept of agape—love rooted in care, empathy, and devotion—the piece depicts a polygonal structure surrounded by roses and organic forms.

The movement of the polygonal cage oscillates between blooming and retreating, reflecting the ebb and flow of love and the delicate equilibrium between giving and receiving affection within healthy relationships. The rose, a timeless symbol of love, serves as a powerful metaphor to replace the conventional heart as the central symbol of love, embodying something simultaneously ephemeral, valuable, and fragile.

The animation was designed to be displayed inside a holographic box elevated on a pillar inspired by classical Greek architecture, connecting the digital work to the philosophical origins of its title. The structure of the display allows viewers to place a hand beneath the angled crystal, creating the illusion of physically touching and enclosing the Agape element within their palm.

This gesture transforms the otherwise intangible animation into an intimate encounter, as though love itself could momentarily be held, protected, and experienced through the body. Combined with an experimental ambient soundscape and a darkened environment, the installation blurs the boundary between digital image and physical presence.
