自分を許して

The title 自分を許して (Jibun wo Yurushite)—Forgive Yourself explores self-forgiveness as an encounter between the person we are and the versions of ourselves we struggle to accept. Surrounded by fragmented marks, saturated colors, and distorted symbols of innocence, the central figure inhabits a visual landscape shaped by memory, identity, and emotional contradiction.

Childlike imagery and kawaii aesthetics coexist with aggressive gestures, crossed-out expressions, and visual disorder. Rather than positioning these qualities as opposites, the work embraces both as parts of human nature. The childish, irrational, tender, angry, and destructive aspects of the self are not presented as impulses that must immediately be corrected or suppressed, but as presences that deserve to be acknowledged.
